Bacteria cannot be seen with the naked eye, but these can be seen with the help of a microscope. If you have to carry a sample from your home to your biology laboratory to demonstrate the presence of microbes with the help of a microscope, which sample would you carry and why?

1 Answer

To carry a sample from my home to the biology laboratory to demonstrate the presence of microbes with the help of a microscope, I would collect a sample of water from a nearby pond or a stagnant water body. This is because water bodies like ponds, lakes, and rivers are natural habitats of a wide range of microorganisms including bacteria, algae, protozoa, and fungi. These microorganisms can be easily collected and observed under a microscope. Moreover, the sample can be easily collected using a sterile container without any risk of contamination. Additionally, such water bodies are easily accessible and can provide a diverse range of microorganisms for observation.
